What schools need to know

Showcase Opportunity: 

Primary and secondary schools from the Archdiocese of Melbourne are invited to showcase their learning at STEM MAD 2024 . The showcase is designed to acknowledge and promote STEM based learning initiatives that address real world problems and demonstrate how students in Catholic schools take action that matters. 

School teams of up to 4 students will be required to provide a 90 second video pitch for selection.

Entries for the Showcase will be assessed by a team of curators against the judging criteria and school teams will be awarded an opportunity to showcase their initiatives based on excellence.  

All showcase schools will be in the running to win prizes in a variety of categories. On the Showcase day schools will be invited to

• Showcase their projects to staff, special guests and sponsors

• Be judged for a series of awards, including sponsor awards

• Hear from exciting keynote speakers

• Participate in student activities onsite

• Attend the awards presentations

Please Note: Showcase Finalists that are selected to represent MACS at STEM MAD National  will additionally be required to provide a final 2.5 minute video presentation where they must present their pitch and a digital walk through of their design and prototype for judging. Curators advice and feedback from visitors and judges at MACS STEM MAD should be taken into account when compiling  this final video.
