AI Use

Vestavia Hills High School recognizes generative AI as an important and evolving tool in today's world. When deemed appropriate and used responsibly, it can be a valuable resource to enhance creativity and elevate student learning, but there are many ethical concerns that should be contemplated before using AI. 

You must have your teacher's permission to use AI as a tool, and you must fully disclose how you used it and the prompt that you used.  You may be asked to cite AI use either formally or informally.

You may be asked to provide drafts of your work to see the progression and evolution of your work.  How AI is handled may vary greatly by department and individual teacher, so it's your responsibility to know what you can and cannot do with regard to AI.  When it doubt, consult your teacher about how you plan to use generative AI in your assignments.
