HONORS DANCE II- INTRO TO COMPOSITION (10th – 12th)
Honors Dance II - Intro to Composition is offered to students that have completed Dance I Intro or Advanced. Work must be done outside of the classroom. This course will continue the Dance I technical training and allow students to learn the art of dance composition. Students will learn about the different methods of choreography and famous choreographers. The elements of dance, improvisation, choreographic devices, and structures will be used in class. Dance attire will be required. Fundraising opportunities will be available for all expenses. Performances in Celebrate the Season and the spring dance showcase is required. Students are expected to perform at their technical level on a daily basis. This course is ideal for students that have taken Dance I Intro. This is an Arts credit or Elective credit.
Prerequisite: Dance I Intro; 1 year of Rebelettes or Rockettes
