Tourney is a website that lets you publish your draw, and record results during your tournament.
Results are calculated on the fly so you can see group placings, and you can automatically update team names in following rounds. It is easy to record results through Scoreboard, or on a mobile device or PC.
If you want to use Tourney contact me (stacey@verner.co.nz) with the tournament name, dates, and number of pitches, and I'll get it setup.
You'll need a Google account to log in, and once you have logged in you will see a lot of menu buttons that let you add your draw.
It is assumed that you have your Tournament draw in a spreadsheet and you copy the details into Tourney.
For each day, copy your games times from your spreadsheet and use Paste Game Times to add them to Tourney. If you want to use the Scoreboard link, be sure to use simple 24 hour time as above.
For each pitch, copy the games from your spreadsheet with Group, Team 1, Team 2, and the Duty team, and use the Paste Games option.
You can enter details about the Tournament (plain text) by selecting "Edit Tournament Details" from the menu next to the Tournament name.
When the tournament is in progress admins can easily record results on Mobile devices and PCs
You can also link Scoreboard to Tourney. There are more details below.
When a group is complete Tourney can automatically update team names in following rounds, but you need to follow a standard naming convention.
In the above example the group is called "A" then first place should be entered as "A 1st" or "1st A". For crossovers and semi-finals where there is just a winner or loser you can use "Lose AX1" and "Win AX1" or "AX1 Loser" and "AX1 Winner" where "AX1" is the name of the group for the crossover or semi-final.

Tourney and Scoreboard can be linked together so that games can be loaded from Tourney, and results can be sent back to Tourney.
The Scoreboard computers need an internet connection but it doesn't have to be constant so a mobile hotspot is fine. Scoreboard will transfer all unsent result when it gets a connection.
When you select Load Games from Tourney it will list available Tournaments and let you select one. It then lists days and pitches and lets you select one.
Once loaded, when a game completes, or you edit a result, it will be queued and sent to Tourney when it gets a connection.
Scoreboard also also updates games from Tourney to get updated team names, and corrected scores.
