The Canoe Polo Scoreboard includes a built in web server that allows you to access scoreboard properties from other devices on the local network, including the capability to show a remote Shot Clock.
To start the Scoreboard Server select Scoreboard Server from the main menu.
This shows the Scoreboard Server screen that allows you to control the server.
In most cases you can just use the default settings and click the Start button.
The Scoreboard Server publishes data over the network and needs permission in the Windows firewall. If it already has permission it will just start. If not it will attempt to grant access which requires administrative access and you may have to enter the administrator password.
If the server still fails to start you can try using alternative ports or running as administrator.
Once the Scoreboard Server is running you can access its features via web browsers on other devices.
The Scoreboard Server window displays the URL that you can use to access the scoreboard.
The home page shows the current running game and includes links to other pages.
Click on the Shot Clock link to show the Short Clock Page.
In order to access the Scoreboard Server both the Server and the Client need to be on the same local network such as a Wi-Fi network.
You don't necessarily need a Wi-Fi base station. A Windows Computer with Wi-Fi can be configures to to act as a Wi-Fi Hotspot. See the following form information on how to do this.
