โSuperโcurricular activitiesโ are out of the classroom activities that develop your aware- ness of the courses and careers you plan to follow after school. In some subjects you will not be considered for entry unless you have participated in such activities.
Once you have settled into your academic programme, you should begin to consider how you can build on your present interests and activities and acquire new skills and experiences during the coming months. This will help you not only to develop as a young adult, but also create a personal profile that will help you to stand out from other candidates when you apply to university. CAS will give you many opportunities to develop and acquire new skills and you should also consider summer schools and internships during the summer vacation, especially if you plan to apply to competitive courses. Below are some ideas to get you thinking. They are not exhaustive and they do not cover all subjects โ but they should provide a starting point.
See the pages on Local Engagement, Online Courses, and Summer Programs to help find activities to support fulfilling these requirements.
