In Video Yearbook it is a job about being on task and knowing what you are doing. You also have to be able to take constructive criticism. You also have to be able to correct people's work as well. You should be able to help them find a feature or be able to show them something in premiere pro. It is not something that you can slack on either. Video Yearbook is a very important thing because of today's technology. People really enjoy a good video, that's why it's important to take your time and edit carefully. You are instructed to make a 2-3 minute long video about your category in which you will be assigned. Some categories include Friends, Baby pictures, Student life, Crazy staff, Academics, etc. I wouldn't take this job if you aren't a hard worker that can get stuff done.

The Video Yearbook Staff comes with a lot of responsibilities. A majority of the time you have someone from the opposite semester or from your semester work on the video with you. Such videos consist of Crazy Kids, Clubs, Academics, Friends, Sports and more. The way you complete this video is by taking pictures during your 2nd period, break or lunch. You then place your photos and videos in your video and place different transitions and end cards to keep it unique. Videos are then played in the class after completion to review them and then put together in the Video Yearbook which is viewed during P.E. at the end of the year.

Being part of the Video Yearbook Staff comes with a lot of due dates. Depending on your topic you may have another person from the opposite semester working with you on a video. There are a lot of videos you may be asked to do, such as Electives, Clubs, or the lives of the students. I was tasked with 8th Grade Life video, considering this was one of the "life's", you basically just go around and take pictures of 8th graders. You use the editing software Adobe Premiere Pro and may need to take pictures at break and lunch for your video. When finished it will be a 2-3 minute video on various topics. Unfortunately the Video Yearbook is not available for purchase, but it gets showcased at the end of the year in the gym for people to watch it.
