Expectations for parents
1) Read with your child every day it is possible.
2) Help your child remember to bring their fully charged iPad.
3) Download the Class Dojo app, use it for communication and to monitor behavior.
4) Reach out with concerns or questions.
5) Keep your teacher informed of major changes in your child's life.

Students can earn Dojo points for positive behavior.
Every 25 points your child gets to make a selection from the prize box.
Fun Friday is 30 minutes of play on Friday afternoon as a reward for responsibility and behavior all week.
As a group, we also work to earn "drops" to fill a class jar and earn class parties!
🛑 Consequences 🛑
Reminder to make a better choice.
Negative Dojo point and a brief discussion if a reminder doesn't work. (We try to do this privately.)
For more serious or repeated behaviors, your child may also lose a part of their next recess.
Your child may lose Fun Friday and attend Study Hall instead.
Friday mornings we do Dojo check-ins with students who lost Dojo points that week.
Behavior communication
Connect to our class in the Class Dojo app to get immediate notification if your child earns or loses a Dojo point.
Talk with your child about why they lost a Dojo point.
The principal or teacher will contact you directly if there is a serious behavior concern.
