Meet Poppy! Poppy is our official AG room cat! She loves to sleep on book bags and play with string. She loves attention and will creep into your lap when you're not looking! She's been with us for three years now and we look forward to many more with Poppy!

Meet Captain! Captain is one of two birds kept in the Ag room. He is well-known for his talkative spirit and his tendency to land on peoples' heads. He is a retired member of the CIA and was previously used as a carrier pigeon during World War ll. Be careful what you say around Captain, you never know when he's listening in!

Meet Nugget! Nugget is one of our Ag shop's resident rabbits. Originally the pet of McDonald's founder Ray Kroc, Nugget was named after his favorite menu item. When McDonald's popularity skyrocketed, Ray had too much to manage and gave Nugget to the Van Buren FFA chapter. Although she misses her life in the fast food industry, she is happy to be a part of our Ag department!

Meet Nilla! Nilla is an energetic and playful rabbit with a very independent spirit. She enjoys eating food, hopping around, and chewing on stuff.

Meet Jewel! Jewel is another one of our rabbits in the Ag shop. She was named Jewel because of the many successful heists she completed before coming to live with the Ag department! Jewel is currently wanted for 93 felonies across the country.

Meet Noodle! Noodle is one of two ferrets we keep in the Ag room. He loves sleeping in his hammock, running freely in the Ag room, and playing in the ball pit with Sauerkraut. Noodle is a very friendly ferret and is a great animal to have around! Noodle likes to pretend he is dead and give Mrs. McKown a heart attack at least once a week. It's one of his favorite hobbies. 

Meet Sauerkraut! Sauerkraut is Noodle's brother from another mother. He enjoys many pastimes, including sleeping in the hammock beds, sneakily roaming the classroom, and hanging with his friend Noodle. Sauerkraut is very easy to handle and loves being pet.

Meet Reggie! Reggie is the official betta fish of our Ag department. Reggie is a chill fish and mostly enjoys swimming around his tank and eating food. He is best known for his accomplishments in the sport of artistic swimming, but also dabbles in marine biology on occasion.

Meet Titus! Titus is the Ag room's best and only Leopard Gecko! His favorite activities include hiding under his rock, hunting and eating crickets, and hanging out under his heat lamp. 

Meet PJ! PJ is our chapter's adorable and tiny dwarf hamster.  PJ has a very shy personality and tends to hide in her cage. Her favorite activities include burrowing in her shavings and running on her wheel. PJ was acquired less than a year ago, and we hope to have her for a long time! 

Meet Steve! Steve is one of the Ag department's younger rabbits. Although he is not very old, Steve has already left his mark on the world of esports, winning multiple minecraft survival mode tournaments in 2019! Steve strongly encourages you to not mine at night.

Meet Rocky! Originally the pet of a magician/birthday clown, Rocky was abandoned by her owner after rabbits "went out of style" in 2017. Hurt by the betrayal, Rocky learned to hate humans and found a gang of abandoned animals to live with in the sewers. After committing several crimes against humans with her gang of abandoned pets, Rocky was finally captured by the FBI and given to the Van Buren Ag department for the duration of her house arrest. Although she wasn't happy at first, Rocky has learned to trust again and is happy to be a part of our chapter! 

We are just kidding, that's the plot of Secret Life of Pets, but boy does she sure look grumpy!

Meet Toes! Toes is our chapter's newest gecko. Interestingly, Toes started out his life as a  professional surfer/hang glider in Sydney, Australia. After an unfortunately timed shark attack where he lost his tail, Toes was sent to a rehabilitation center and given to the Van Buren Ag Department to continue on his healing journey. Although he now lives in a landlocked state, he hopes to one day continue his competitive surfing journey as soon as his tail grows back.
