Meet the animals of our ag program!

Poppy

Meet Poppy! Poppy is our official AG room cat! She loves to sleep on book bags and play with string. She loves attention and will creep into your lap when you're not looking! She's been with us for seven years now and we look forward to many more with Poppy!

Peach

Meet Peach! Peach is our Ag room cockatiel. She is very talkative and loves attention. One of Peach's favorite pastimes is soaring around the Ag room, which makes sense seeing as she used to be a surveillance bird. Peach is a very sweet bird and has been forgiven for all her war crimes.

Bean

Meet Bean! Bean was just a little rabbit with big dreams. One day, he heard Van Buren FFA was looking for a new rabbit to join the crew, so he hopped right in and applied. He has no experience, no resume, and absolutely no idea what FFA was. He pooped during the interview, chewed up the paperwork, and somehow still got hired. Now he runs the Bunny Department.... or at least he thinks he does.

Rocky

Meet Rocky! Originally the pet of a magician/birthday clown, Rocky was abandoned by her owner after rabbits "went out of style" in 2017. Hurt by the betrayal, Rocky learned to hate humans and found a gang of abandoned animals to live with in the sewers. After committing several crimes against humans with her gang of abandoned pets, Rocky was finally captured by the FBI and given to the Van Buren Ag department for the duration of her house arrest. Although she wasn't happy at first, Rocky has learned to trust again and is happy to be a part of our chapter!

We are just kidding, that's the plot of Secret Life of Pets, but boy does she sure look grumpy!

Princess

Meet Princess! Princess showed up and Van Buren demanding a luxury suite, unlimited snacks, and a personal assistant. Nobody had the heart to tell her she was a rabbit, not a CEO. She claimed the Bunny Area as her kingdom, fired three imaginary employees, and now spends her days eating like royalty and judging everyone who walks by.

Nugget

Meet Nugget! Nugget is one of our Ag shop's resident rabbits. Originally the pet of McDonald's founder Ray Kroc, Nugget was named after his favorite menu item. When McDonald's popularity skyrocketed, Ray had too much to manage and gave Nugget to the Van Buren FFA chapter. Although she misses her life in the fast food industry, she is happy to be a part of our Ag department!
