Van Buren FFA

2023-2024 Officer Team

History

The Future Farmers of America organization was started in 1928 by three farmers from rural Virginia.  The FFA was created to help prepare future generations for the challenge of feeding a growing population.  Today the national FFA organization has over 735,000 members, in all 50 states along with some U.S. territories. In 1988, they changed the name from Future Farmers of America to the National FFA, because agricultural education is for all students-not just farmers.

Our Goal

In the Van Buren FFA chapter, our goal is to inspire members and teach them about agriculture. By teaching members about the glories of agriculture, we hope to inspire them to take become a part of the farming community. In our chapter, we bring people from all around the Van Buren community together and teach them about the importance of agriculture in their lives.
