1. What do you like most about Red Mill? The best thing about Red Mill must be the teachers and students! Everyone has been very welcoming to me and I feel like we have the best school in Virginia Beach. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
2. What school did you come from? Were you the assistant principal there or a teacher? I came from Princess Anne Elementary school, but I was only there for one year as a second grade teacher. Before that, I taught at Landstown Elementary School for many years.
3. What grade/subjects have you taught in the past? How long have you been in education? I have taught all grades - kindergarten through 6th- at some point in my career. I am originally from Pennsylvania and worked there prior to moving. I’ve been in Virginia Beach for the last 12 years and I’ve loved every minute of being a teacher!
4. What is your favorite part about working with Dr. Miller? Dr. Miller is fantastic! She has taught me so much so far and I can’t wait to keep learning from her. The best part about her is that she makes everyone feel valued and appreciated. She is an amazing principal and Red Mill is lucky to have her!
5. Are you having a girl or a boy? Do you have a name already picked out that you would like to share? My husband and I decided to have the baby be a surprise! We don’t know if it will be a boy or a girl. We have a boy’s name decided, but we are still working on girl names. There are just too many good names to pick from!
6. Do you have any other kids and/or pets? At home I have an almost 2 year old little girl named Amelia. She is tons of fun and keeps me on my toes. We also have a dog named Maci. She is a black and white border collie and is also full of energy. Let’s just say, we have a very fun-loving and energetic family!
7. Do you have anything else you would like the Red Mill students to know about you? I’d like for all students to know that I am always available to them! I believe my number one job as an Assistant Principal is to support my students and staff, so if there is ANYTHING I can ever help with, stop in and see me!
***UPDATE: Since the interview, Mrs. Keros had a baby girl. Congratulations!
