PLANNING for a Portfolio Night Showcase

• Set a date(s); be sure to touch base with the SAC to avoid conflicts on school calendar
• Garner admin, teacher, and specialist support
• Talk about the portfolios throughout the year; add to the portfolios often; do not wait until close to the portfolio night
• Send home permission slips; see ours below
• Publicize using everything at your disposal
• Rehearse oral presentation with students
• Provide a light snack if keeping students after school for setup and rehearsal
• Provide question prompts for parents and community visitors
• Provide feedback opportunities (embed a Google Form, capture in video interviews)
