Shark Friend

By: Lucas P.

A shark is in the water it is coming closer and closer to me. Then all of the sudden the shark jumps up out of the water and then makes a huge splash when it goes back in the water then I left the beach. On my way home I stopped at a lake that I love to go to.When I looked in the water I saw the same shark that was at the beach. But that is impossible the beach does not connect to the lake I thought so how did it get in the lake I wondered. Then the shark jumped up out of the water and landed next to me. Then the shark said hey kid what are you doing I saw you at the beach about a hour ago now I see you at my favorite lake. Then I passed out. When I woke up the shark was standing over me. Are you ok it asked. I said yes then got up and the shark said my name is Paul what is your name? My name is Ryan I said. Do you want to become friends? Asked Paul. Sure I said so they became friends and played every day. The end

Masquerade Ball

By: Lily S

I went to a Father Daughter Dance, or, a Masquerade Ball, as used in the title. The reason it’s called a Masquerade Ball, is because you have to wear a mask. It’s not a mask that covers your face, it’s a mask that goes around your eyes like a sleeping mask, except it has holes so you can see. My mask had rainbow sequins on it.

My dad wore a plain black mask. We slow danced, then everyone danced around with their friends, and at the end we got to go on stage! When we walked in the school, we got two tickets for the girl and the dad. We used them to buy cupcakes for both of us, then we had another ticket to get a different mask. The Masquerade Ball was super fun!

The Bird

By: Jeremiah D.

Once upon a time there was a pretty bird. The birds name was Recko. Recko had colorful feathers and a yellow head. Recko loved going to the pet shop because he liked to tease the dogs because the dogs were locked up and Recko wasn't. When Recko leaves the shop he goes to the White House to meet the president Donald Duck. When Recko gets there he sees police, ambulance, and firefighters. Recko thought that Donald Duck had blew himself up because Donald was a little smart/dumb at the same time. Recko went up to the policeman and asked them what happened? The policeman asked are you this mans parent Recko did not know what to say so he just responded yes. Then the policeman said that this bird named Recko made him sick and he sneezed and the glass shattered and then he fell off the tall White House. Recko couldn't believe what he did. Recko didn't mean to make president Donald Duck sick. One week later Recko went to bird jail and he hated it he had to eat throw up and rotten eggs for breakfast and dinner two years later Recko got out of jail and then he learned never to tease somebody because you never know if it is going to happen to you!

Party Time!

By: Lucas P.

The teacher came in and yelled party time! All the kids were super surprised but this time they did not argue they all opened their lunch boxes and started throwing food at each other. All the other kids in third grade came in our class with their teacher. It was so much fun. One teacher brought in sprinkles opened them and started throwing them around the room. Then the principle came in with brownies and cookies. Each kid took ten treats then kept partying. Every kid in the school now was in out class or outside out class in the hall doing the same thing as us throwing food and partying. Some kids were playing on devices other kids were watching movies and some kids were running around the room because they had eaten so many treats. It was the best and weirdest thing that had ever happened in this boring school. Once all the teachers calmed down they made the party stop and we had to do math books. The end

Ex and Gx must be traded like this GX with Gx’s Ex’s with Ex’s. Pokemon is amazing if you have a Gx or an Ex you should keep it and only trade it with other Gx’s and Ex’s or not trade it. If you leave Pokemon cards in your pocket and forget about it it will crumble in the wash if your mom does not check pockets. You have to be really careful with Pokemon. Pokemon cards are the best.

The Bald Eagle

By: Liliana M

You would think a bald Eagle is named a Bald Eagle because of it’s head. The white head would make you think its bald. But, the name came from a old English word “Balde” which means white.

These graceful birds have been the national symbol of the united states since 1782.

Their habitat is a forest and are on the brink of extiction because hunting and pollution, laws created 40 years ago have helped protect them.

Female eagles are a bit bigger then males, their wingspan can be up to 8 feet while their bodies are 3 feet. Bald eagles can soar over 10,000 feet in the air, They have great eyesight and can see fish up to a mile away, and when the attack they drop down at up to 100 miles per hour to snag their prey with their feet and fly off to eat it.

Baby eagles are called eaglets, and are born light grey and then turn brown. When they are 4 or 5 years old they develop their white head and tail and can live up to 35 years old or older.

A bald eagle organization that activly participates in saving and helping the bald eagle is called American eagle foundation. After researching with the AEF I found out June 20 has been declared Nationally as American Eagle Day . AEF is located in Tennessee . For more info you can visit there website which is www.eagles.org .

  • In 2004, the chicken was the first bird to have its genome sequenced – which is finding out the order of their DNA. Doing this helped determine that the chicken is the closest living relative to the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
  • Chickens have three eyelids.
  • Mother hens teach their chicks what to eat and what to avoid.
  • Chicken eggs nutrition value is the same, regardless of the egg color.
  • Most eggs are typically laid in the morning between 7am and 11am.

  • Originally, chickens were domesticated for the use of cockfighting.
  • If you trick a hen into thinking a day is 28 hours by using certain lighting, she will lay bigger and stronger eggs.

Unforgettable Birthday

By: Hayley P.

It was an average day in New York City. The roads were busy, big crowds of people everywhere, and some strange commotion going on. However, it was a big day for Paisley, it was her 13th birthday! She was probably the most excited person in the world to be 13, probably because she was so excited to finally be a teenager. She ran downstairs to eat her breakfast. “Hey, dad do you know what day it is?” Asked Paisley. “Is it Friday?!” Dad said all excitedly. “Oh, I sure hope so!” Said Mom relieved. “Yeah bu-” “Oh, look at the time we gotta- go!” “Oh my goodness, okay! Bye sweetie! Love you, have a good day!” They kissed my forehead and told me goodbye. I got ready for school and now felt like crying. I went to the bus stop and waited. I waited, and waited, and waited and the bus never came. I was 20 minutes late to school, and my homeroom teacher said that she would mark me absent if I was late again. “This day keeps on getting better and better!” Paisley said sarcastically under her breath. When it was finally lunch time she sat next to her two friends Luna and Allison. “Hey guys…” Paisley said all upset and tears rolling down her face. “What’s wrong Pai?” Luna and Allison said all worried. “Do you guys remember?” “Remember what?” Luna and Alison were confused.” Paisley ran to the bathroom and stayed there until school ended. When she got home she went to her room and fell asleep. Mom and Dad came home shortly after and brought Paisley’s best friends Luna and Allison too. They began setting up for Paisley’s surprise birthday party. “I hope Paisley doesn’t wake up when were in between setting up.” Said Mom. “Us too!” Said Luna, Allison and Dad. They had finally finished setting up about a hour and a half later. Once party guests (Family and friends) showed up they started to hide. Some hid behind the couches, kitchen counters, and behind walls just everywhere and anywhere that they could. Mom went to go wake up Paisley with an excuse to get her to get ready. “Hey, Paisley go get ready we're gonna go shopping.” “Okay mom.” Paisley said all upset. Mom went out of the room to go hide. Paisley came out all dressed at least 8 minutes later. “Mom Dad I-! Mom! Dad! Hello?” Then there was a long pause. SURPRISE!! THen a big crowd of people jumped out at Paisley. Paisley was so excited and startled at the same time. “All this for me?” “Yup! This is all for you!” “I thought everyone forgot my birthday.” “Nope. It was all part of the plan.” Said her Dad “ALright now let’s get this party started!” “YEAH!” They all shouted. It turns out everyone did remember Paisley’s birthday.

Shazam is a movie about an orphan kid who meets this wizard that gives him these powers and he just has to say shazam and he can fly he has super strength and all these other powers. The bad guy in the movie when he was a kid the wizard also brought him to the lair and tested him but he was not given the powers because the wizard found that he was not worthy enough to have the powers of Shazam. The bad guy is also trying to steal shazams powers. He can make the seven most dangerous creatures come out of his eye and do whatever he says he takes one of Shazams brothers and makes him tell where Shazam is and then he tells him that Shazam is at the house but he actually was somewhere else that the brother did not know and then his whole family is taken hostage and then Shazam shows up and they go in the lair the bad guy trys to get Shazam to give him the powers but he will not and then his brothers and sisters start throwing stuff at him and one thing cuts his head and then he chases them to a room with a bunch of doors and each door has these creatures inside so Shazam has to think about a place so the can get out of the lair and avoid the bad guy then the bad guy gets out not long after him and finds them at a festival and then he almost gets his powers but then Shazam gives his brothers and sisters the power and breaks the thing you need to get the powers. Shazam has to stop him by giving his brothers and sisters the powers too and then they fight all the creatures and Shazam at the end takes the bad guys powers and puts the back where they're supposed to go. I think Shazam was a great movie and I hope you will like it too.
