Symphonic Band is our 2nd & 3rd year player (typically 7th & 8th grader) ensemble. Instruments that are available to play in Symphonic Band include:

• Bass Clarinet

• Alto Saxophone

• Tenor Saxophone

• Baritone Saxophone

• Trumpet

• French Horn

• Trombone

• Euphonium

• Tuba

• Bass Guitar

• Percussion

If your student REALLY wants to play an instrument that is not listed above, please email me directly at bdahlgren@vashonsd.org to discuss their options.

Symphonic Band performs four to five times a year; the Winter Concert, the Spring Concert, Large Ensemble Festival, Elementary Recruitment Concert, and the Pops Concert. The concerts typically take place during the week in the early evening. Concerts typically last between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the performance.
