You need to choose one enrichment to include on your timetable.
There are five categories to choose from but you can only select one enrichment session from one category.
You can choose one of the following
Active Wellbeing and Resilience Empowerment
Recognising your body cues, identifying and accepting our emotions, getting to understand the link between our patterns of thought, our feelings and our behaviours. How to be proactive in protecting and nurturing your Mental health wellness and managing difficulties as they arise. It takes a lot of bottle not to bottle things up!
Journalling (for calm)
This enrichment will help you with resilience, self-compassion and self-confidence. It will also enable you to find ways to fully engage with the classroom when things get tough. Your creative writing skills might also benefit!
Meditation
When we meditate, we inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives: We lower our stress levels, we get to know ourselves, we connect better, we improve our focus, and we're kinder to ourselves and others. During these sessions you will learn several different styles of mediation including breathing space, body scan, mindfulness of breathing and the loving kindness practice. We will discuss the benefits of regular meditation practice.
PAUSE For Possibility
PAUSE is a self development skill that is explored and developed through the Wellbeing Team at Varndean College. Students learn how to regulate their autonomic nervous system through somatic educational techniques. Improve your wellbeing, de-stress, enhance your learning, learn life skills, hand reflexology, brain gym, mindfulness and strategies for self-control.
