IB has developed a new resource for determining how your IB experience will "count" at college or university.
This exciting new resource for prospective students, parents, teachers, and counselors is the main resource to help university applicants find the best fit for them.
This database can be used to search for different study options in two ways:
Searching for country or territory recognition statements
Searching for university recognition statements
The country or territory search function allows users to view published statements for each country or territory, including any official agreements or policies from the national or state governing bodies regarding IB curricula.
Additionally, for the United States and Canada, there is a state or province search function as well. Currently you will find around 40 countries (and all provinces or states for the US and Canada) on the database. The number of countries will grow each year.
The university function enables users to view individual universities within each country or territory and what each one has set as admissions criteria regarding IB programs and courses, grades and subjects.
We are working to have at least 2,000 universities on this database within the next year. Universities are in full control of creating and editing their statement. If a university you are particularly interested in has not added information to the database yet, please do continue to check as we work to add more.
