To support the superintendent leadership transition during the 2021-22 school year a group of representative stakeholders was assembled for the Superintendent Transition Team. The purpose was to engage stakeholder representatives in reviewing data gathered through the initial transition process combined with their experiences, and collectively draft goals that will help our district grow in the way we serve students. Below is a graphic that shows the work the team did in 2021-22, and how it fits into the work from previous years and the work ahead. Also included below is the final report from the team presented to the school board on June 21, 2022.
Thank you to the team members who graciously shared their time, experience, and wisdom to the process!
Outcomes for team: analyze data collected through superintendent leadership transition, establish 3-4 short term goals for the transition, monitor progress and connect the transition to the district’s strategic planning process through a transition report that will be shared with the school board.
Experiential outcomes for team: build a collaborative team that represents the larger district and uses the leadership transition to develop relationships through a shared experience.
“Transition teams of credible internal stakeholders and external experts can inform an incoming superintendent about the district’s strengths and development areas.”
