How do I log in?
Vancouver Public Schools uses Google Drive as a cloud-based storage and productivity tool. Every staff member in the district has a Google Drive account, and is able to access tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms (along with a few others).
Thanks to our district-monitored accounts, we have unlimited storage in Google Drive and in Google Photos. This means it's a great way to move things from your device into Google Drive to free up space!
You can log in via the Google Chrome web browser (this is great if you will need to navigate between multiple tabs for research/data collection), or the Google Drive app.

What do I see when I log in?
When you look in your Google Drive, you will see something like this (or something close to it).
This quick visual shows the most-used buttons, or locations that are especially helpful for you to know about!

Google Drive: This is the overarching product that you log into, which holds all of your documents and presentations! Log into Google Drive and get access to everything else listed below!)
Google Docs: This is a lot like Microsoft Word! It's word processing, with the same tools you're used to in Word. This is great for students to work on papers, etc. and share their work with you quickly! In fact, if you have Word documents, you can move them to Google Drive, too!
Google Slides: This is similar to Microsoft Powerpoint! It allows you to search the web while you're creating slideshows, and collaborate with other people in real time. Great for small group projects!
Google Sheets: This is similar to Excel! If you use Excel for behavior or academic data collection, you can easily transfer that to Google Sheets!
Google Forms: Google Forms is a survey creation tool that allows you to ask students for quick feedback after a lesson, collect information about their needs and interests, or keep track of data! Results from your Google Forms surveys can be quickly turned into a Google Sheet, which makes data collection super simple!
You can also access Google Drawing, Google Sites, and plenty of other products!
