A game theme will be announced in November and then the students will work in teams of 2 - 7 students to produce a video game that they will showcase at the competition in May.   See Mrs. Hansen if you are interested in knowing more about this class.  khansen@vansd.org

2022-23

While we didn't bring home any awards this year, the teams made some really fun games.  You can check out their OGPC links below and play them online.

The theme for 2022-23 was "Breaking Conventions".

Ascension De La Torre was made by Team Bueno Games.  "It's similar to your good ol' classic Tower Acsencion turned-based RPG. Multiple different bosses all with unique attack patterns and characteristics. But with a major twist, you are the bosses! Your main enemy is the 'protagonist' of this game, a classic run-of-the-mill white knight, and your goal is to beat him enough times for the 'player' to give up. Become the impossible-to-beat boss with Ascensión de la Torre! (PS: winning is not guaranteed in any way).Play the game at this link.

Structure was made by Team Red Pandas.  "You are  stuck in a cave and their are strange sights all around you. It feels like your being watched constantly and you hear footsteps echo the halls that aren't yours. Use the batteries to maybe power something to find your way out of this purgatory. " Play the game at this link.

This Title is False was made by Team Disruptive REDACTED.   "You play as Ooga, who is the first and only human in a world filled with robotic life. You start out in a robot operated compound and the only chance you have at getting freedom is using the power of paradoxes to fight your way through your robotic captors. " Play the game at this link.
