• Students  should bring a book to read when they are finished

• As a whole group, we will discuss the rules of the lab and watch the expectations video.

• We will discuss the external parts of computer as a whole group. Students will identify the parts. 

• We will work on the packet and identify the number row, top row, home row and bottom row by coloring them.

• We will discuss keys on the keyboard and complete the worksheet together in class.  Students  will identify different keys and what they are used for. 

• Students will color the keys used to log in- username and password.

• Students will practice logging in and out of computer

7th Grade-

• Students will warm up in Typing Club. 

• As a whole group, we will complete the Digital Citizenship lesson- "Assumptions We Make" (commonsense.org)

• Students will log into IXL and work in the Math arena.

6th Grade-

• Students will warm up in Typing Club

• As a whole group, we will complete the Digital Citizenship lesson- "Be Aware What you Share" (commonsense.org)

• Students will log into IXL and work in the Math arena.   

5th Grade-

• Students will warm up in Typing Club.

• As a whole group, we will complete the Digital Citizenship lesson- "Tracking You, Taking Control of Your Privacy" (commonsense.org)

• If there is extra time, students will log into IXL and work in the Math arena.  

4th Grade-

• Students will warm up in Typing Club

• As a whole group, we will complete the Digital Citizenship lesson- "Personally Identifiable Information" (commonsense.org)

• Students will then log into IXL and work in the Math arena for 5 minutes.

• Extra time, students will practice logging in to Google Classroom

3rd Grade-

• As a whole group, we will discuss the parts of the computer and will identify the parts at their desk.

• Teacher will read ebook to students about how to use the mouse and review terms (hover, click, double click, right and left click and scroll wheel.

• Students will complete the Keyboard Detective worksheet.

• Students will log into IXL and work in math arena for 5 minutes.

• Any extra time, students will practice logging in and out of Google Classroom

Rotation 1- August 6-13

3rd - 8th Grade- Welcome back to school!  This rotation we will be assigning seats, reviewing expectations and going over the Syllabus.  To make this a little more exciting, we will be playing Jeopardy to review expectations and the syllabus.  (Hint:  It would help your student if they reviewed my website and watched the expectations video.)  Each student will also be given a copy of the Student Internet Safety form.  We will review it together and students will sign it in class (worth 10 homework points). Parents have already signed their version of the form digitally with registration materials.
