Welcome Back Letter

Students, welcome back to school!   I hope you had a fun summer and had time to practice some of the skills you learned last year.  I can’t believe that this will be my fourth year teaching Technology.   I’m ready to get started– are you?

Do you ever wonder what teachers do over the summer?  No, we don’t sit around eating M&M’s and binge watching our favorite shows (well, maybe a little binge watching).   This summer, I spent time planning our whole year of learning.  This included creating instructional videos for new lessons.   I also earned my Common Sense Educator Badge through our digital citizenship program (Common Sense Education).    

My summer wasn’t all work (thankfully) and I did have some fun.    I paddled on my SUP several times a week on various lakes and the Salt River.  You may recognize some of the people in my pictures.  I also vacationed in Park City where I drove an ebike for the first time, rode a funicular, swam in a crater, had a snowball fight, hiked in the rain and went horseback riding.   I love adventures and can’t wait to hear about yours.
