Yearbook

Yearbook is designed for the student who wants an in-depth experience in the production of The Viking yearbook. It is a challenging course in which students have the unique opportunity to write the yearbook, prepare a publication for printing, run a business, and record history.  The Yearbook course is designed to provide students the opportunity to work with advanced technology, work as a team, strengthen their analytical and problem-solving skills, improve their communication skills, and manage tremendous responsibility.

Students will use computers, Canon cameras, and several types of software like Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for designing and producing the yearbook. Yearbook students practice the fundamentals of journalistic writing, photojournalism, graphic design and budget management. Students will also develop their abilities to work as a team as they produce the yearbook.
