Hello!

My name is Whitney Tamez, and this year I have the pleasure of being your students science teacher! This year I will teach both Physical Science and Chemistry and I am so excited

to have the opportunity to get

to know you and the students better!

I grew up exploring on our family farm just west of Vale and graduated from Vale high school in 2001. This is my second year teaching here in my hometown and my fifth year coaching volleyball and I have loved every second of it! 

I have a passion for art, I love movies, and I am in a committed relationship with COFFEE!

Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of education is to provide a supportive learning environment where critical thinking is developed, and creativity is encouraged. Where mistakes are embraced as a necessary part of learning and students can build meaningful connections with content through a variety of experiences. I believe that every time a student walks into my classroom is an opportunity to affect their lives in a positive way.
