Course Description:
Encore teaches basic skills with Microsoft’s popular Office 2010 suite of applications. You will learn basic features and functions of Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. You will also learn about computer concepts, the new Windows 10 Operating System, and internet skills. This course is also designed to help seniors learn about modern day job seeking skills, interviewing skills, writing a resume and how to apply for a job online.
Class Meetings & Attendance:
Encore is now offered at 2 different locations. Students are designated to one class location and required to be present for all class meetings. You may click on the underline locations below for directions.

VACE Attendance Policy:
All students are required to sign our school Attendance Policy. Encore is designed to instruct adult students in vocational training programs that will support the students in a job-related goal. One major factor in achieving this goal is attendance. Your training program commitment at Encore should reflect your commitment to a job.
Your attendance & punctuality is critical to the success of your Encore program. More than 3 unexcused absences will result in termination from the program. It is vital that you notify your instruct prior to an absences or tardiness from class. In order for any absences to be excuse, it is required that you provide written documentation verifying your absence. This may include but is not limited to a doctor’s note, notice of court hearing, jury duty notice, etc.
Failure to adhere to the Encore Attendance Policy may result in your being dropped from the program.
