Typing Practice

There are many different options that students can use to learn and practice typing on a computer. Some are web-based, while others are programs only available on Encore laptops. It is suggested that students try different typing programs until they find the one they enjoy best.

OPTION 1: Most of the computers at Encore have a pre-installed program on there for you to learn typing. This program is called, "Keyboarding Pro". Students are welcome to use it during class for up to 30 minutes a session. Students are also encouraged to track their progress on the program.

OPTION 2: GCFLEARNFREE typing (Pictured Above). On this website, students are able to travel around the map to learn & practice the different keys on a keyboard. After completing sections of "Learn", students should then utilize the "Practice" section.
