The Technology Department provides one standard monitor for every classroom and office across the district. If you need a second monitor, you are welcome to submit a request — and we will gladly provide one as long as we have the inventory available.
If our inventory is temporarily depleted, you can still obtain a second monitor by:
Requesting approval from your Site Administration or Department Head
Purchasing the monitor through your site
Submitting a request to Technology if you need assistance setting it up
Once the monitor arrives, we’re happy to help with installation and configuration.
Please keep in mind:
Second monitors may not match your primary display
Different size
Different model
Different resolution
Functionality will remain the same, but the visual appearance may vary
We do our best to pair monitors appropriately, but availability depends entirely on current surplus.
Before connecting a second monitor (or replacing an existing one), it’s important to know what type of video ports your desktop or laptop has. The monitor you use must have a matching connection, or you’ll need the correct adapter.
Most district devices include one or more of the following:
VGA — Older, blue, rectangle-shaped port
HDMI — Common modern connection for video and audio
USB-C — Newer, oval-shaped port used for charging and video on some devices
The type of port on your computer determines which cable you’ll need to connect a monitor.
We understand that certain roles or responsibilities may require additional or specialized equipment. If you have a specific technology need: Start by speaking with your site administrator to discuss your request and determine if it can be supported at the site level.
