Even with the best equipment and support, technology can fail at unexpected times. To keep your class running smoothly, it’s a good idea to have a simple backup plan ready in case your main laptop becomes unavailable.
A backup plan can include things like:
📄 Keeping a printed copy of your daily lesson outline
🧩 Preparing an independent activity students can work on
☁️ Saving essential materials in Google Drive for access from any device
✏️ Having a low-tech option ready — journaling, reading, partner work, etc.
These small preparations ensure that instruction continues seamlessly, even if your device temporarily needs updates, diagnostics, or repair.
The Technology Department will always work to get you up and running as quickly as possible — but a backup plan helps protect valuable instructional time while we troubleshoot.
