UDL stands for "Universal Design for Learning". It an approach to thinking about teaching in ways that provide students equal opportunities and facilitate student success. With UDL, students have the flexibility to access different materials and resources, engage with their learning, and demonstrate what they have learned. The goal of UDL is to use various teaching methods to eliminate any obstacles that may hinder student learning. UDL benefits all students in that it can be adjusted to their strengths and needs. By adhering to UDL guidelines, we as educators can ensure that all students have meaningful learning experiences that they can carry with them well after we have had them in our classrooms.
