Punnett Squares and Patterns of Genetic Inheritance Quiz
This is a formative assessment I created for my General Biology students. I love using Google Forms for quizzes for many reasons. First of all, my student-teaching experience consists of teaching both all-virtual and hybrid. Forms allow me to see students' progress on their quizzes, so even if they are not physically in class with me, I can check to see where they are at on their quiz in real time. I also love that I can set each question to being required to be answered so each student has to answer each question before they can submit the quiz. Yay, no docking points for missed questions!! My favorite part about using Forms for these kinds of formative assessments is that I can integrate pictures and diagrams into them for my visual learners. Finally, Forms provides data on each students' answers, so I can see statistics like the most missed questions and overall average score.
