Resident Interactions for this period are due by October 6th, 2025. The minimum number of interactions for this period is 20.
While you and your staff are encouraged to decorate your lobby space, especially at times such as Move-in or Homecoming, please be mindful and follow these expectations:
Do not do anything that would make the space no longer ADA complaint or difficult to physically navigate
Do not do or use anything that would be a violation of the Housing Handbook
Do not do or use anything that could offend or be considered not inclusive
Only use materials that will not damages walls, floors, or ceiling
Avoid hanging items from ceiling
Lobby decorations are not meant to be permanent and therefore should only be up for 2 or 3 weeks
You will find vinyl stickers on windows, doors, and walls in the residence hall. Never place any advertisements, signage, or items on or over the vinyl decals in the residence halls. These can damage and overall make our spaces look messy. Please place advertisements, signage, or items on windows without decals or several feet away from wall decals
From University Marketing:
The visual identity of UWF helps to create and sustain a strong image and reputation for the University. The addition of taglines, icons or graphic elements to the decals is prohibited. Additionally, do not put anything too close to the decals that may cause it to look like a new logo; this includes posters, flyers, and cosmetic additions. Improper usage damages the perception and recognition of the institution’s brand and even well-intentioned changes can have a negative impact.
