INTERNATIONAL CITIZENSHIP & PARTICIPATION
PLEASE SCROLL TO MY NAME AS AN ASSOCIATE EDITOR
EVIDENCE OF INTERNATIONAL CITIZENSHIP & EDITORIAL MEMBERSHIP
As an academic whose research engages critically with comparative jurisprudence, gender equity, and the intersection of Islamic and secular legal systems, my work consistently demonstrates an active commitment to international citizenship. Through cross-jurisdictional analysis—most notably between South Africa, Morocco, and Tunisia—I position my scholarship within global legal and human rights discourses, affirming the university’s vision of producing knowledge that is globally relevant and socially responsive.
My editorial memberships on international academic journals further attest to this engagement. These roles require not only critical oversight of scholarly contributions from diverse jurisdictions, but also active participation in shaping ethical, inclusive, and intellectually rigorous publication standards. As an editor, I advocate for epistemic diversity and provide mentorship to emerging scholars from the Global South, thus contributing to a more equitable global academic landscape.
This engagement supports the university’s strategic goals of internationalisation and academic excellence, as I bring global standards and perspectives into our teaching, research, and curriculum design. In initiatives such as the CNT 301 library session, for instance, students are introduced to research methodologies and citation practices consistent with international academic norms—tools essential for scholarly participation on a global stage.
In sum, my dual role as researcher and editor contributes meaningfully to the university’s reputation as a site of globally engaged scholarship and affirms my academic practice as one rooted in international collaboration, peer review, and the advancement of inclusive knowledge production.
