The DNA Café Ice Cream Social is an immersive science experience to learn about genetics research.
Using a restaurant as an analogy for the cell, participants will create ice cream sundae "proteins" to enjoy while modeling the essential processes of gene expression.
So How Does This Work?

Table reservations at The DNA Café will help us keep COVID safe-r, and ensure we have space to accommodate your party.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by our Hosts who will seat you and your party at your very own table/nucleus.

At your table/nucleus, you can search the Menu/DNA to find the gene that will express your desired Ice Cream Sundae.

Our waitstaff will be there to help you master the genetic code (don't worry it will be easy).

Once you have written the transcript/mRNA for your ice cream sundae you can carry it over to the kitchen/ribosome where our chefs/tRNA will help you construct your Ice Cream Sundae/Protein.

While enjoying your creation we will have a panel discussion with researchers from Genome Sciences who will discuss their research through the Restaurant Analogy.
