To Host a Fail Fest

1. Pick a date to host it. We chose to host after the department's social hour for access to snacks and beverages.

2. Create a Flyer to solicit attendees and presenters.

   2. Created attendee Google Form to collect information from speakers and attendees. Example

3. Ask department leadership to support event with giftcards or financial rewards.

4. Receive presenter info and attendee info from form.

5. Send follow-up emails for presenters and attendees.

6. Day of event.

   1. Collect all of the presentations from speakers for the event on one laptop if casting online

      1. Ok to allow speakers to use own laptop if only live audience.

   2. Have a link to winner vote form ready to send to attendees at end of speakers.

   3. Randomize speaker order.

   4. Host event, and allow speakers to present. Allow some time for Q&A or comments.

   5. After all speakers have presented, tally the votes for the winners and announce the winners.

   6. Give winners the prizes.

   7. Thank everyone for attending.
