Get To Know Us
Hi everyone! My name is Meg, short for Megan, and I grew up in Lake Stevens but now currently live in Standwood.
I have wanted to be nurse since I was in 2nd grade. I graduated from Everett Comunnity College March of 2023 and after finally making up my mind that I wanted to be an OR nurse upon graduation I accepted a job as a GI nurse at The Everett Clinic. While this was no where close to my radar throughout schools, I couldn't be happier as I have 2 work from home days, a set schedule, and paid holidays off. I have amazing coworkers who have taught me so much about being a nurse on top of becoming some of my closest friends.
After graduation I am happy to report that I will be taking a much earned break from school by flying out the day after classes end to celebrate earning my BSN on top of my husband and I's 5th wedding anniversary in ICELAND!
I am originally from Edmonds, WA and currently reside in Marysville, WA.
I began my nursing career in 2004 as a licensed practical nurse after graduating from Lake Washington Vocational College . After raising my three children, I returned to school and obtained my registered nurse degree from Lower Columbia College in 2023. I have worked in skilled nursing facilities over the last twenty years of my nursing career.
Upon completion of my BSN from the UW Bothell I plan to attend graduate school.
Hello, my name is Sherwin (He/Him) I am one of many RNs in my large, extended Filipino family. I currently live in Marysville and, like many, I am not fond of the commute to school but I am grateful for the opportunities I have to learn and grow. I graduated from Everett Community College in spring of 2022 and have been working at Swedish Edmonds for a little over a year in their med-surg oncology unit. After I've finished the BSN program I'll look to get my chemotherapy certification and train for charge. A year after that, I'm looking to do a fellowship in an ICU to better develop my clinical insight. I'm completing my BSN so that if I decide I want to advance my education I'll have one less step to worry about but as of right now I have no specific goal besides figuring out my tolerance for the ICU.
Even though I haven't worked at Swedish Edmonds for very long I was asked to be part of an advertisement for the hospital. Since the ad came out, my coworkers have been calling me "bestie" whenever I'm on the floor. Here's the link to the video:
Nice meeting you, my name is Kyoka.
I’m currently a 2nd year nursing student at TMDU.
From the time when I first dreamed of becoming a nurse, I’ve been wanting to work at the department of obstetrics and gynecology as a midwife. However, as I get to learn more about other departments, my interest has expanded a little bit more to something like ER and pediatrics. I hope I’ll be able to find a department that suits me the most and where I can fully leverage my strengths in the near future.
I'm looking forward to interacting with you all!
Hello, my name is Kaho Haruki. I am a second year student at TMDU, majoring in Nursing.
