Liz Slade

I've been in the role of Chief Officer for the UK Unitarians for two and a half years - which means that most of my time in this leadership position has been during pandemic. I'm not sure I expected it to be a 'normal' job, but it certainly hasn't been! The first part of my career was in healthcare information - journals and guidance for doctors - before moving into work exploring the role that community plays in wellbeing, and from that to being COO of Sunday Assembly, the global network of secular congregations. I've also worked in various freelance and consultancy roles in the health, community and spiritual domains. The UK Unitarian movement is in a time of change and I hope that the questions we are holding about the shape of our future will also benefit this international group as we explore together.
