As the NEH Summer Institute is being hosted on University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus, we must adhere to the established guidelines and protocols. As of June 28, 2022, the UTK does not require masks be worn on campus or in classrooms. Moreover, we are unable to inquiry about your vaccine status.

Participants are welcome to wear masks in the classrooms. Disposable masks will be made available but you may also bring your own masks.

If you are not feeling well, you are encouraged to stay in. We will have COVID rapid tests available so as to help determine the next bets course of action.

Knoxville has several clinics, urgent-cares, and hospital facilities that you can visit and that accept a variety of insurances.

In the case of a medical emergency, you should dial 911.
