Neal Waxham, Ph.D.
I received a B.S. in Microbiology from Penn State in 1978 and a Ph.D. in Immunology and Infectious Disease from Johns Hopkins in 1984 under the mentorship of Dr. Jerry Wolinsky. After a brief post-doctoral period, I joined the faculty first in Neurology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and then moved to the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy in 1990. I'm presently the William Wheless III Professor in Biomedical Science and Professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy at the McGovern Medical School in Houston.
