I am honored to volunteer on occasion for this local nonprofit organization whose mission is "To feed those who are hungry physically, spiritually, and emotionally," guided by the belief that "People Matter." Serving meals seven days a week to 150–175 people daily, the organization also provides personal hygiene items, haircuts, and access to safe shower and laundry facilities.

In addition to basic needs, they offer administrative support, providing computer access, help with paperwork, mailing addresses, and transportation to local, state, or federal offices. They also have a children's clinic, provide mental health and addiction recovery classes, counseling, and support, along with employment, housing, and financial counseling to help individuals achieve stability.

With opportunities for participants to develop leisure and job skills through a community workspace for creativity and collaboration and a micro-industries program, the organization creates a holistic support system. By addressing immediate needs and fostering long-term growth, they restore dignity and hope to individuals and communities - something I am proud to be a part of.
