This track is ideal for participants who want to dive into policy work and meet with legislators to advocate for Utah's cultural industry. If you would like to participate, please register as soon as possible to help us plan for the event. Priority will be given to those registered by December 19, 2025. We are working to have broad representation across the cultural industry and state for those participating in meetings with legislators.
Limited Availability: 16-20 individuals // Time commitment: February 5, 2026 | 8:00 am-5:00 pm PLUS time spent reviewing training materials and scheduling appointments.
Scheduling and Participating in Meetings with Legislators
This core group of individuals will help schedule meetings with legislators before the event, meet with key legislators, and report on their discussions. Previous advocacy experience is helpful but not mandatory. Participants must be prepared to spend the entire day at the Capitol as meeting times often need to be flexible. This year we will focus on meeting with a selection of legislators based on policy and funding requests rather than trying to meet with each legislator.
Schedule
8:00 am-8:30 am // Legislator Meeting Orientation Meeting [Board Room]
8:30 am-5:00 pm // Legislator Meetings [Capitol Complex]
