Don't miss The Pen is Mightier: Writing a Revolution, which is on display on the 4th floor of the Utah State Capitol through December 2026. The exhibit explores how Revolutionary-era leaders harnessed tools such as printing presses and secret codes to inspire action and ignite lasting change. Please allow plenty of time to find parking or consider taking public transportation. Parking can be challenging at the Capitol during the General Legislative Session. Please follow all stated signage regarding parking. Vehicles cannot be left unattended unless they are in a designated parking spot. See parking details and maps here.
The state provides free wi-fi in the Capitol building. Select "Utah Guest" and accept the terms to use (no password).
There is no longer a dining hall on the Capitol Complex and no guaranteed food options on Capitol Hill during the session. You have the option to pre-purchase a boxed lunch until January 28 [available for pick up in the board room from 12:00-12:30 pm] or bring a sack lunch or snacks.
While you are at the Utah State Capitol, take some time to explore and learn something new.
The Museum Store in the North Capitol Building is officially open and full of fun and charming gifts.
Capitol Tours depart Monday through Friday on the hour from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm departing just inside the East entry doors.

Learn about the Capitol Art Collection and current exhibitions.
Learn about the memorials, monuments, and plaques on the Capitol Grounds.
Please note there is no secure place to store coats and bags at the Capitol Complex and attendees should plan to keep their belongings with them during the event.
Attend legislative floor time and committee meetings (in-person or virtually) during the session. All the information can be found at le.utah.gov. This website is also where you can access bills, state code, budget, legislator contact information, and more.
Get to know your elected officials. Sign up for their newsletter, follow them on social media, set up meetings with them - they want to know what their constituents think.

Time commitment: February 5, 2026 | 8:00 am- 5:00 pm PLUS time spent reviewing training materials and scheduling appointments.
This track is perfect for drop-in participation—network with colleagues and familiarize yourself with Advocacy Day at your convenience. Prior registration isn't required, but is appreciated, so we know how many plan to attend and can send reminders about the event.
