UDOT is required to annually report a COOP plan for Administration, Traffic Management Division and all Four Regions. These documents are due to the State of Utah by July 31 each year.
COMING SOON - Each Division will have a COOP and each sub-group will have an Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) that will become a supplemental of the division COOP. Emergency Management will be hosting a workshop with the Sub-groups and Divisions to help them identify critical functions that they have and how those functions roll up into the larger picture. These workshops will allow us to identify, organize and document plans that we need. Things like evacuation plans and security measures to protect our functions.
COOP or an Emergency Operations Plan will be reviewed annually or as staff/substantial organization changes are made. Continuity of Leadership and Department Functions.
Critical Functions - Protection of life, limb, eye sight, environment or preserve some other aspect of public safety, public health, lifeline infrastructure or the economy
Essential Functions - Contribute to stabilizing ongoing incidents and the mitigation of property loss which include providing immediate and substantial support to UDOT’s primary missions or tasks and supports UDOT’s core values and areas of emphasis.
Enhancing Functions - are those activities which improve the work environment but are not of an urgent nature and do not have a mandatory time period for their reestablishment
