Optional activities offer self-paced opportunities to earn additional project hours and stipends. This page highlights available activities and allows you to track your progress throughout the year. All optional hours will be totaled and entered into the APEX Platform as a single entry at the end of the project year (August 2026). National History Day is proud to have been awarded a $2 million dollar grant to facilitate teacher professional development over the next three years. VMHC will work as a partner to provide funded opportunities to educators who live or work in Southside Virginia counties.
