Before the Christmas holiday, we had the chance to take part in a language exchange with a group of students of 1º ESO of IES García Téllez in Cáceres conducted by their teachers Nuria Muñoz and Cristina Muñoz. It was a fantastic oppotunity for our students to practice their English in a more relaxed and informal context.
Students had to briefly introduce themselves in the cooperative presentation below, giving basic information about where they live, their hobbies and favourite things. We then prepared a series of ice-breaker questions in advance based on the presentations of each high school. eTwinning is a free online community for schools in Europe and some neighbouring countries, which allows us to find partners and collaborate on projects within a secure network and platform. Through participating in eTwinning, our school will enrich learning and motivation of pupils (aged between 3 and 19) and staff, will access high quality professional development and ready-made resources, will raise standards across the whole school community, will gain recognition for our commitment through eTwinning awards and the International School Award.
