My name is Joey, and I am 36 years old. I am from Loveland, Colorado in the United States. I am working at IES Rayuela as a Language Assistant for the 2022/2023 school year. I get to work in several Physical Education, History, and English classes. I have really enjoyed learning new things and being able to share my language and culture with students. I am extremely happy to have been placed here because everyone is so accepting, interesting, and fun to be around!

Hello!  My name is Nick, I am 32 years old and from Denver, Colorado in the United States.  I have been lucky to work at IES Rayuela through the 2022/2023 school year with students of all ages, it has been an incredible experience.  Through the year I have mostly worked in English classes, but I have also gotten the chance to work in some History and Physical Education classes, which has been really fun!  In all my classes I always enjoyed the opportunity to practice speaking English with students and seeing how their ability with the language has progressed. 

Hey all! My name is Simriti Bansal, I’m from New Delhi, the capital state of India and I’m 24 years old ~ I started interning as a language assistant in IES Rayuela from October 2022 and honestly, it has been the best time of my life. I met some of the most amazing people who not only helped me with feeling comfortable in a country not my own, but also made me feel at home. The students and the staff are some of the best people I have come across! As an English literature graduate, I mainly focused on English lessons along with a few art classes. I enjoyed the art classes a lot even though I have never been much of an artist. The technical classes made me look at art from a whole new perspective, a perspective which I enjoyed a lot and through which I learned a lot. Along with the students, I grew up as an educator and a person, for which I’ll always be glad for! All in all, I had a great year where I learned a lot and had a lot of fun while teaching!
