TABLE TENNIS
Ever since I was a child, I haven’t really been well-versed in sports except for badminton. And like how I knew how the game of basketball and volleyball worked as I often watched it but did not know how to actually play it, the same goes for table tennis. I knew the basics of the sport, its scoring system, and some techniques players did to be able to consistently hit the ball because some of my friends played it but I have never actually held a table tennis racket myself.
TRACK AND FIELD
I vaguely remember that I tried out for the 100-meter sprint category in our elementary school, but unfortunately, I did not get the spot. Since I was young, I enjoyed running as I was rarely home as a child because I spent a lot of time playing outside. I also think that running was one of the things that assisted me in conquering asthma. Looking back, I think I would have enjoyed track and field as a sport. I’d be willing to give it another chance again if given the opportunity.
TABLE TENNIS
Personally, I never had any proper experience playing Table Tennis besides physical education classes in junior high. However, I always enjoyed watching whenever there were competitions of that sport in my previous school. I managed to learn the rules, the flow of the game, and even the fouls from an audience's perspective. Having said that, I think that if I were to play table tennis, I would have to focus on my reaction speed because I tend to get quickly caught off-guard.
TRACK AND FIELD
I was introduced to Track and Field at a young age because my grandfather used to compete in running events in our province. Because of that, I was lucky to have an opportunity to watch races and learn the basic rules of the game. I also learned from him the advantage of practicing with a treadmill to increase our endurance as it helps us run faster during races. Although I didn't particularly appreciate joining varsities in Track and Field, my interest in running stayed. I just settled on using it in exercising or joining in fun runs.
TABLE TENNIS
My family and I often play different sports together, table tennis is one example. The first time I ever held a table tennis racket was in 6th grade, it was my best friend’s as she used to compete in provincial tournaments. I used to look forward to our games every after school hours. Now, we have our own table and equipment for table tennis. I believe playing table tennis rather improved my eye and hand coordination skills. It exercises both my body and mind, and I think that is what makes playing enjoyable.
TRACK AND FIELD
I actually first encountered track and field in a sports video game. It would sense my motions and display it on my character in the game. I would run and jump in place, which really boosted my endurance. I do enjoy running, but when it comes to jumping, I know I still have a lot of room to improve. If I would have the chance to participate in track and field, I would gladly take that chance.
TABLE TENNIS
I am delighted that I got to experience representing our school as a player in table tennis. I became a varsity from elementary until junior high school and I play for women's doubles. I won 2 bronze medals and 1 silver medal in those interschool competitions. I discover table tennis since my uncle and cousins are also a player in this sport. My experiences will be memorable since I'm not capable of playing sports because of my heart disease, however, it become one of the reasons why it strengthens my immune system. I also meet and learn from other players in different schools
TRACK AND FIELD
I am not familiar with how the sport works since no one in our family play track and field. I watched a track and field competition in our school a couple of times and it excites me every time. I'm not fond of sports that involve running since my body is not capable of doing it. However, I enjoy watching videos of the players who are competing.
TABLE TENNIS
I do not have much experience or knowledge in playing sports except for Swimming. The only time I've ever played table tennis was in elementary school in our Physical Education classes, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge about it. However, I enjoyed watching table tennis matches on TV shows with my father. In watching the game, I was able to pick up some of the fundamental rules and the general flow of the game because my father was explaining them to me. Even though I have no prior playing experience, the dynamics of this sport interest me, as hitting the ball with the appropriate force and timing one's body to react quickly are both thrilling and challenging.
TRACK AND FIELD
My cousins introduced me to track and field during my first year of high school because several of them are members of their school's varsity team. I enjoy watching them play in their schools whenever I visit our province, so I learned a few things about this sport. I have no previous experience with this sport, but I enjoy running because I have always accompanied my mother and aunts to run through the parks on weekends since I was a child. Running became a fun activity for me since it is a way for our family to bond, and I have many beautiful memories of it.
TABLE TENNIS
I was introduced to playing sports like swimming, badminton, and basketball when I was young, but my first experience playing table tennis was only in Grade 8. It was our Intramurals, and our teacher could not find any table tennis player in our batch. That’s why she randomly picked two people in our class, and one of them was me. We tried to learn about the sport one day before Intramurals began. It was an excellent experience for me, even if it was unexpected, since it was a fun sport and developed my physical strength and analytical skills.
TRACK AND FIELD
I’ve always liked running games when I was a kid, especially when playing with my friends outside every afternoon. However, I haven’t really tried running on a running track. I was always fascinated when I saw people playing the sport in Olympics. It excites me since you can’t tell who will win until the very last second they step their foot on the finish line.
