RAM CHIP

RAM (Random Access Memory) is the primary storage of a computer. It is the hardware in a computing device where the operating system (OS), application programs, and data in current use are kept so they can be quickly reached by the device's processor.

CACHE MEMORY

 A chip-based computer component that makes retrieving data from the computer's memory more efficient.

FLASH DISK

A data storage device that uses flash memory, specifically: a small rectangular device that is designed to be plugged directly into a USB port on a computer and is often used for transferring files from one computer to another. It is also called a thumb drive.

EEPROM

An EEPROM Chip (Electrical Erasable Read-Only Memory), is a storage device for storing data that can be erased and reprogrammed. The advantage to using EEPROM technology is that it allows for a program that is stored to be partially erased and reprogrammed allowing an easy way for applications engineers to make changes 

SOLID STATE STORAGE DRIVES

SSDs (Solid State Drives) are the newer type of hard drive. They have become the preferred format for high-end laptops’ internal hard drives, and all smartphones and tablets also use a form of SSD.

OPTICAL DISKS

An optical disk is any computer disk that uses optical storage techniques and technology to read and write data. It is a computer storage disk that stores data digitally and uses laser beams (transmitted from a laser head mounted on an optical disk drive) to read and write data. 

FLOPPY DISK

A floppy disk is a type of storage media that reads data storage information, also known as a floppy diskette, floppy, or floppy disk that is used to store electronic data, like a computer file. It was extremely expensive as it was one of the first types of hardware storage created in 1967 by IBM, which could read/write a portable device.
