What is Software?

Operating system or often called as "OS" reads and responds to user commands, and coordinates the flow of information among the different input and output devices. It also manages the different programs the user runs. OS can be categorized as proprietary or open-source.

Application software, often simply referred to as "apps," are computer programs designed for specific tasks or functions, such as word processing, image editing, or video gaming. They provide users with a user-friendly interface to interact with and manipulate data, making computers and devices more useful and accessible for various purposes.
