FREQUENCY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ACTIVITY MONITORS
Question: Can I wear my own activity monitor to participate?
Answer: To participate in PROJECT GO we will have you borrow an activity monitor from us to wear on your dominant wrist. Our activity monitor will only show the date and time. You can also wear your own activity monitor to track your activity during the Go Dons Get Fit Challenge on the opposite wrist.
Question: How should I wear and use the monitor?
Answer: Wear the monitor on your dominant wrist. The fit should be snug and secure, with the display facing right side up when viewed like a wristwatch. The backlight on the display is activated by pressing the button on the side. It is best to not have any other items around your wrist (i.e., bracelets, watches, or other jewelry).
Question: How long do I have to wear the activity monitor for?
Answer: Friday, September 24th, 2021 through Sunday, November 14th, 2021. The monitor should be worn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ideally, we ask that you put your monitor on first thing in the morning on 9/24/21, and wear the monitor through the end of the day on 11/14/21.
Question: Does this track my location?
Answer: No, this only tracks your movement intensity and time (ie., physical activity, sleeping, sitting) but not your location.
Question: Can I wear this while showering, bathing, and/or swimming?
Answer: Yes! This activity monitor is water-resistant for up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The activity monitor should be kept ON during normal bathing, showering, and swimming activities.
