FOREWORD

As citizens of the Philippines, we have thrived from the rich biodiversity and culture that the lands and waters that are under the sovereignty of this country have provided for us. That said, the contents found on this website serve as documentation of one of the cultural practices of an ethnic group found in the country, namely the Sama group. The proponents created this website for their EGE 313 subject First Learning Evidence. We have learned a lot from each other in our time developing this website. It is safe to say that we also developed not just our knowledge of this given community, but also of how we could effectively work as a team. Nonetheless, this whole project has been very fulfilling for each one of us and we hope that the same could be applied to you, the readers.
