Ms. Kristi Bubna

Hi, I'm Kristi Bubna (<-- pronounced with a long u)! I taught high school English for 6 years before becoming a gifted facilitator. When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family and being outdoors: biking, sailing, camping, or traveling. Little things that delight me are handmade soap, puppetry, all things nautical, wildflowers, fiber arts, library nooks, raptors, picnics, mid-century furniture, folk art, and constellations in the Kansas night sky. I love learning and am always on the hunt for a bargain and a good book.

One of my favorite parts of being a gifted facilitator is witnessing student creativity, in both their personal projects and in their perspectives.

Here are a few favorite podcasts and books I've enjoyed and recommend:

Podcasts: Ear Hustle, Revisionist History, The Dropout, Planet Money, 99% Invisible, Work Life with Adam Grant, Radiolab, Uncivil, On Being

Books: The MaddAddam Trilogy, Shadow Divers, Lincoln in the Bardo, Sing Unburied Sing, Educated, The Little Prince, Station Eleven, The Heart's Invisible Furies, All the Light We Cannot See
